When it comes to starting a business, you will want to think about several legal issues before you begin operations. You can learn about some of these legal matters at the upcoming Eastern Panhandle Entrepreneurs Forum(EPEF) on Thurs., Feb. 2, at the Inn at Charles Town.
The EPEF will present the program "Legal Issues to Consider When Starting Your Business". Attorney Layne Diehl, CEO and managing member of Diehl Law PLLC, will be the guest speaker. Topics that she will discuss include:
- Business Formation ( establishing corporations, LLCs, partnerships, etc.)
- Regulatory Issues (licensing, permitting, accreditation, etc.)
- Contracts (development, negotiation, breach of contract issues, etc.)
- And more.
Diehl's expertise includes experience in the law of employment, education, communication, small business, immigration, and non-profit administration. She has assisted small and mid-size business clients with developing new business structures, refining company policies and documents, and employment matters, among other issues faced in the business world.
The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 5:30 p.m. with networking and refreshments, followed by the program at 6:30 p.m. After Diehl's presentation, time will be available for a question and answer period. The Inn at Charles Town is located at 100 Hollywood Drive in Charles Town, W.Va.
