In 2016, 43 percent of all cyberattacks worldwide were targeted at small businesses with less than 250 employees, according to the cybersecurity firm Symantec’s 2016 Internet Security Threat Report. 

The Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs (HHOMA) presents its sixth annual Minority Business Expo on Tues., May 7, in Jefferson County, West Virginia. The expo provides opportunities for minorities, veterans, and women business owners to network with business and government leaders.

The Eastern Panhandle Entrepreneurs Forum (EPEF) is presenting two programs for entrepreneurs and small business owners on Thurs., May 2, at the Country Inn in Berkeley Springs. Program topics will include "Small Business Assistance" and "Managing Your Cash Flow". 

The 15th annual Forum for Sustaining Agriculture (formerly Forum for Rural Innovation) on March 8 will  feature new programs and practices that enhance farm and rural business prosperity. With opportunities for both networking and education, the Forum will showcase a variety of presentations and exhibits that emphasize innovative and practical methods for agricultural and rural business development in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and northern Virginia area.

As a county economic development organization, it is important for the Jefferson County Development Authority to be transparent.
